Eliminate Writer’s Block

Writers block is defined as:

“When a writer loses their ability to produce new work.”

It sucks because when you have something to write like:
content for the internet,
a book,
or a script
or a whatever

… you can’t get done what you want to get done – you have writers block!

Has writer’s block affected you personally?

Personally, it comes and goes.

But when I do have it I try my best to eliminate it.

Here’s a solution I have tried and tested to eliminate writer’s block:

One solution I have tried, includes shutting down my laptop and going to wash the dishes.

Just taking my mind away from my computer to somewhere else can work.

But it’s not always effective.

Recently I have been trying out a new technique. And it’s working well.

Here’s a new technique to stop writer’s block I have developed and use to some success:

Introducing: The “Me Chat” Technique

I call it the “Me Chat Technique”. Here’s what this is all about:

Next time you have writers block, chat to yourself using one of the many free instant messaging services available on the internet.

Have two accounts, perhaps two on GoogleTalk or two on Yahoo Chat or two on AIM… whatever you want.

Then have a conversation with yourself as if you are talking to someone else.
